The Americans may have the key to finally eliminating the use of 1080 poison here in Gods own country, New Zealand. According to a report on Radio New Zealand, the main group behind a proposed United States Congress bill banning the use and export of 1080 poison believes the legislation will go through...While this is welcome news to long time opponents of 1080, which has caused wanton destruction to the inhabitants of our forests, eg: birdlife, insects, deer, kiwi's, dogs, deer, waterways and other cherished forest/bush creatures, its a shameful admission of how backward us kiwi's are, in not rising up enough in force, to stop this criminal behaviour by our government departments ourselves...Of all people to lead the way, but the Americans...arrggghh... http://msn.nzherald.co.nz/world/news/article.cfm?c_id=2&objectid=10656727&ref=rss

I have been toying with the idea now for a while about putting down a lure for possums, so today I brought some aniseed oil. My plan is to put it out along tracks near posts so I can get some clear shots at bears who have been sucked in to my plan before disappearing up the thick Totata's and pines that I shoot. My question is how much oil do I put out and what is the best method of doing it?

i find that the willows and the poplar trees are good at certian times of the year however totras seem to be good all year round. i find that if you can put them in bush on the border of farmland that thay seem to catch more possums as they often venture out to munch the odd bit of grass this also makes them easier to access by motorbike etc. however if puting them near farmland i recomend putting traps on a raised platform at least 20cm off the ground. i find that covering them does not do the slightest bit of difference as the possums do not seem to mind at all and covering them is mearly a waste of time however as it was earlier said it is a personal choice.

Was selling to a private lady who produces her own product line, but she is not buying again till after xmas. Fur dressers and dyers are supposedly going to be buying again this week, but they are $100 a kilo for under 10kg, and $105 for over.
